About this programme
How Cancer Awareness works
Our Cancer Awareness Project focuses on improving knowledge and understanding of cancer across communities, with a strong emphasis on early detection, prevention, and access to support services.
We deliver community-based workshops, outreach sessions, and awareness campaigns designed to educate individuals on the signs and symptoms of cancer, the importance of early screening, and available local health services.
A key focus of this programme is addressing health inequalities within underserved and BAME communities, where awareness, access, and trust in health services may be limited.
We also work to challenge stigma, misinformation, and cultural barriers that prevent early diagnosis and treatment.
Through partnerships and community engagement, we aim to ensure that individuals feel informed, supported, and empowered to take action regarding their health.
